Favorite thing to do when she's not "Faith Farming": "When I am not doing all things Faith Farms, I love to spend time with family or sit on the couch with my husband and watch an episode or two of the latest series we are caught up in or scroll YouTube watching informative videos. I love playing with our granddaughters and seeing the world through their eyes! I also like to binge on podcasts about homesteading, Biblical worldview, etc." Favorite Faith Farms product: "My favorite product is our goat milk soap! I have heard so many wonderful stories of how it has helped our customers with skin issues, but I have seen firsthand how it has helped my husband and my son whose knuckles would crack and bleed every winter from how dry and chapped they would get! Favorite thing to do when she's not "Faith Farming": "When I’m not working at the soap shop, I love to spend time with my family, watch movies, spend time with friends, and go on walks!" Favorite thing to do when she's not "Faith Farming": When I’m not working on our business, my most favorite thing to do is spend time with my girls and my husband! I especially love going on walks on our property or snuggling up and watching a movie together 🥰 Favorite Faith Farms product: My favorite product that I use every single day (and have been using for 10 years now) is our goat milk soap! I use it as my face wash twice a day, as well as body wash, and for hand washing. There is NO other soap that compares! I can’t use any other kind! Favorite Goat Milk Soap Scent: Honeysuckle! How it started...
Most of our childhood was spent coming up with new business ideas. We've always been entrepreneurs at heart, constantly trying to find a way to help people while making money! Our summers were filled with running lemonade stands, trimming hedges in yards, running car washes, and hosting yard sales. ☺️
As fifteen-year-olds, we had the idea to run a petting zoo that would give kids a chance to interact with farm animals and educate them about farm life. At the time, all we had was $200, a few chickens, and some library books on raising goats... After weeks of research, creating many presentation boards to convince our parents, and scouring craigslist for some goats, we made a trip to Jackson, TN and invested our money into four Nigerian dwarf goats.
For one year, we ran a traveling petting zoo with some friends. We educated homeschool groups about farm animals, and gave children their first experiences of farm life; petting chickens, gathering eggs, and milking goats!
Why we became passionate about goat milk products...
During all of our initial research about goats, we had learned of all the amazing benefits about goats' milk! We discovered interesting facts, such as:- Goat’s milk naturally contains alpha hydroxy acids such as lactic acid.
- Lactic acid actually helps to naturally and gently remove dead skin cells.
- This can help with problems such as eczema, psoriasis, and dry/cracked skin!
- Goats' milk naturally contains Vitamins A, C, and E, being most high in Vitamin A.
- Vitamin A is used to repair damaged skin tissue and maintain healthy skin!
- Goats' milk also contains a mineral called selenium, which is believed to be very important in protecting and preventing skin cancer.
How we started making products...
Our entire lives growing up, our brother, Austin (pictured below!), and our dad always had dry, cracked, and even bleeding hands in the wintertime... So we decided to make some soap with goat’s milk as the base to see how it helped them!
Only a few days after the soap switch, both Austin and our dad's hands were healed and have never been dry since! 🙌🏼
