It started with my daughter's sensitive skin. Her legs would break out after wearing her pajamas all night. That's when I learned what you wash your clothes in matters. Your clothes sit on your skin all day and night so the detergent you use does too! When the usual "gentle" store-bought detergents were not giving us the simple ingredients we were looking for, we decided to create our own.
We went back to the basics: simple, thoughtfully chosen ingredients that actually clean without leaving oily residue on your clothes like other natural laundry detergents.

Can I use this laundry soap in a high-efficiency (HE) or front-load washer? Yes โ and the low-dose formula works in your favor. Use just 1 tablespoon per load as directed. Because HE machines use significantly less water, the small dose helps prevent excess suds and residue buildup that can occur with conventional detergents.
Will it leave residue or buildup in my machine? Our formula is low-sudsing by design. Using the recommended 1 tablespoon dose is the most important step in preventing buildup. For front-load and HE machines, we recommend using a warm or hot water cycle periodically to keep the drum clear, consistent with general HE machine care.
